The inaugural NRA Friends & Family Community Day, set for September 20 in the Rio Grande Valley area of Texas, is set to be a celebration of community, safety, and freedom — made possible through the dedication of our volunteers, the support of our donors, and the strength of the NRA family.
Among those stepping forward in leadership are Tim and Gina Archer, who recently joined as title sponsors of this NRA Community Day. Their generosity ensures families in the Rio Grande Valley can enjoy this event free of charge, with opportunities to learn, engage, and experience the NRA’s programs.
This NRA Community Day event will highlight the many ways the NRA serves communities across America — from youth and women’s programs to hunter education, law enforcement training, and safety initiatives. It will also spotlight Friends of NRA, the fundraising arm of The NRA Foundation, which sustains these efforts while also awarding vital grants to local communities and nationwide.
Tim and Gina’s commitment to the NRA mission is rooted in years of service and leadership. As Co-Chairs of the Longview Friends of NRA, they hosted a successful 2025 event and are already preparing for 2026. They also played a vital role in expanding the Hunters for the Hungry program in East Texas, including securing a new trailer to collect, process, and distribute venison to families in need.
Their dedication extends nationally as well:
- Tim Archer serves on the Hunting & Wildlife Conservation Committee, helping preserve America’s outdoor heritage.
- Gina Archer serves on the Women’s Leadership Forum Executive Committee, empowering women leaders and strengthening the future of the NRA Women’s Leadership Forum.
- Both Tim and Gina are Lifetime NRA Ring of Freedom Donors.
Together, Tim and Gina exemplify the spirit of service and generosity that is making this NRA Community Day possible. We are proud to have them standing with us as we launch this exciting new tradition in the Rio Grande Valley.
