The National Rifle Association is proud to announce the Grand Scholarship winners from the 2024 Youth Education Summit (Y.E.S.); a group of exceptional students selected for their leadership, initiative, and dedication to advancing NRA programs within their communities. These top-performing participants have collectively received $13,500 in college scholarships, which will be paid directly to the accredited college or technical school of their choice.
Held each summer in Washington, D.C., the Y.E.S. program brings together high-achieving high school students from across the country for a week of immersive learning focused on the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, and American government. After the summit, participants are given nine months to compete for the prestigious Grand Scholarship by introducing NRA programs in their hometowns and submitting a comprehensive portfolio detailing their efforts. This year’s entries included meaningful community outreach such as hosting Eddie Eagle GunSafe® programs, serving on Friends of NRA committees, and speaking at local civic organizations.

She has already taught over 80 children and plans to expand her efforts. Her passion for firearm safety and commitment to educating the next generation is both inspiring and meaningful. Haylee’s enthusiasm for the Eddie Eagle program shines through in every presentation she delivers.
Logan E., Oklahoma -$750
Since attending the summit, Logan has fully immersed himself in NRA programs. He taught the Eddie Eagle program to children in his community, volunteered at local shooting ranges, and completed both hunter safety and NRA marksmanship courses. He also proudly represents the organization as an NRA Youth Ambassador, continuing to spread the mission and values of the Y.E.S. program.
