The name stuck, and what started as one local event quickly grew into one of the nation's largest grassroots fundraising programs.
Today, Friends of NRA hosts volunteer-led events in all 50 states, welcoming hundreds of thousands of attendees each year. Since its founding, the program has hosted thousands of community fundraising events, raised more than $1.2 billion in gross revenue, and funded thousands of grants benefiting youth organizations, firearm safety education, marksmanship training, and local community programs.
